Graduation Celebrations Are Better On Artificial Grass - Here's Why

Graduation_Celebrations_Are_Better_On_Artificial_Grass-_Heres_WhyThe focal point of any graduation celebration should be the graduate. But the thing is, if you’re hosting their celebration, you want everything to be perfect for that special party. When you have artificial grass, your celebration will be better, right from the start.

Why?

Artificial grass is better than the real thing.

A healthy, lush natural grass lawn looks inviting, to be sure, but these days it’s virtually impossible to achieve that kind of lawn. Artificial grass always looks beautiful, so it’s reliably welcoming. And it’s soft and fluffy like natural grass. It’s the perfect backdrop for the party atmosphere you’ve worked so hard to create.

More functional space.

What good is a backyard graduation celebration if you can’t actually use your entire yard? With lots of guests on hand, you’ll need to expand out onto the lawn, for additional seating and hangout space and to place tables and chairs for serving lunch or dinner.

Inevitably, natural grass is uneven. There are bare spots, clumps and holes that are just plain annoying. It’s easy to turn an ankle if you aren’t careful, and nobody wants to sit in a chair or at a table that wiggles. Artificial grass gives you a nice, even, stable under-footing for whatever you have planned.

More fun and games.

Keep the youngest ones amused while the adults relax and chat. Kids can run around and work off excess energy. They’ll need that after indulging in all the pop and ice cream. There are lots of fun lawn games that are appropriate for teens and adults, too.

Smart, forward-thinking homeowners who switch to artificial grass for their lawn know they can also use synthetic turf to upgrade their property in other ways. If you’re one of them, you probably added a croquet court, bocce ball court or a realistic putting green. (Nice choices, by the way.)  So why not add a mini-tournament to the games program at your graduation celebration, with age-group categories and prizes?

A healthier environment

The absence of real grass means no one will have to contend with grass allergies or reactions to residual fertilizers, pesticides or other chemicals applied to lawn. Your family and guests can confidently sit on the grass, whether they’re six months old or that baby’s grandmother. Artificial turf itself is non-toxic and allergen-free, too.

Artificial grass stays clean and dry.

No worries for you – and no irritated guests – from dirt or grass clippings you might have missed while doing yard work. And no embarrassing prickly (and unsightly) weeds.

If it rains the morning of your party (wouldn’t you just know – the first rain in eons), instead of having a breakdown about moving your entire celebration indoors, you can laugh it off. Moisture drains right through fake grass, and it dries fast. Your party will be on, exactly as planned.

That quick-draining and drying capability also makes it a breeze to rinse away residue of spilled beverages and any “mistakes” you dog might make due to the over-stimulating party atmosphere. (Did you know you can also use synthetic turf to create a good-looking, comfortable play area for your dog? That way he won’t be underfoot OR accident prone when you have company.)

No post-party devastation.

Even when natural grass is in tip-top condition, it can suffer significant after-effects from hard use. Considering that real grass lawns are nowhere near top condition these days, throwing a party on top of them could create devastating wear-and-tear problems. But not when you have artificial grass. It will look as pretty and inviting the day after your graduation celebration as it did the day before. Unfortunately, you’ll still have to clean up after your guests.

When you start with artificial grass, you can’t help but put on a better graduation celebration.
