This install is at the Black Pine School job in Berkley, CA. Take a minute to view some of the work we did in the pictures and descriptions below.
The school had recently acquired an abandoned lot adjacent to their existing campus for expansion purposes. The administration demoed existing, unsafe structures that were unfortunately being used as crack houses. The school wanted to use the now vacant lot as an open play space for their elementary level children. After much due diligence they chose the highly reputable Heavenly Greens to design and build an artificial turf mini play field. Heavenly Greens also constructed a decomposed granite pathway around one perimeter that serves as great circulation to and from the bleachers and offices.
Black Pine had several issues they needed to address which included grading and leveling of the area, circulation patterns, gopher and weed issues and of course a safe, beautiful place space for the kids.
