Summer Theme Parties On Your Artificial Grass

Summer Theme Parties On Your Artificial Grass http://www.heavenlygreens.com/blog/summer-theme-parties-on-your-artificial-grass @heavenlygreensBrunch, lunch, dinner, or in-between, any time is a great time to host a summer party. Especially now that you have artificial grass. Thanks to your smart decision to jettison your old lawn and replace it with faux, your yard is always party-ready, no matter what the occasion. All you need is a theme.

Your neighbors will be thrilled with your invitation to come on over and kick back, after spending their day toiling over their natural grass lawns. All that work, and so little to show for it. Your artificial grass, on the other hand, looks exquisite – lush, emerald, and oh, so inviting. And you didn’t have to lift a finger.

Some last-minute party prep, and you’re ensconced in a lounge chair enjoying a cool beverage and the warmth of the sun, awaiting your guests’ arrival. What a contrast!

Summer party theme ideas for every age and reason

From last-minute BBQ get-togethers to meticulously planned events to honor your Dad, a grad, or a bride-to-be, summer theme parties don’t have to be expensive or complicated to organize. After all, the party’s the point – camaraderie, good food, and good times.

Many themes for summer parties lend themselves to fun and games as well as food and social interactions. If you have a pool, it’s a natural attraction, but your artificial grass makes an ideal play field for all sorts of activities. With that in mind, make sure your outdoor yard games and equipment are spruced up, pumped up, and otherwise ready to go.

  • Hawaiian luau – dress your serving table in a grass skirt, get some fake banana leaves to use as serving dishes, add tiki torches. Hand out paper leis, and serve Spam-and-pineapple-kebobs.
  • Kids’ camp-over – set up tents on your artificial grass (no stakes needed), or let your campers sleep in bags under the stars. Use your backyard firepit for the campfire, and lay in plenty of supplies for S’mores. Scary stories, anyone??
  • South-of-the-border fiesta – just because Cinco de Mayo is over doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate California’s centuries-rich Hispanic heritage. Decorate with reds and oranges, cover your tables with serapes, fill a sombrero with colorful peppers, and serve DIY tacos or bubbly-hot-from-the-oven enchiladas.
  • Patriotic – red, white, and blue are de rigueur for July 4th, but you can make any day “independence from chores” day. Grilling is a must for this party, whether you choose hot dogs and sausages, burgers, chicken, steaks, or the works.
  • Tea in the garden – iced tea or hot, ladies and/or little girls, give this party a feminine flair with lacy table trimmings and dainty tea cakes and sandwiches. The patio herb containers you planted will provide perfectly pretty decoration, and they’ll scent the air with their individual fragrances.
  • Bachelor’s party – guys only for this one, aren’t you glad you added that artificial grass putting green to your back yard?!
  • Outdoorsy elegance – white tablecloth, fine china and glassware, white candles in silver holders, a pretty flower in a bud vase, and you have the makings for a romantic dinner for two. Set more places, and transform your dinner into a sophisticated evening with favorite friends, or even an unexpectedly charming business dinner.
  • Movie night – set out the lawn chairs, hang a sheet for the screen, and pop heaps of buttery popcorn.
  • Summer’s bounty potluck – celebrate in-season blueberries, peaches, etc. by assigning guests to bring apps, mains, sides, and desserts that use that fruit as an ingredient.

Whatever your theme, wow your guests with your backyard beverage mixology skills. Your place is going to be Party HQ this summer.
