SAN FRANCISCO (October 7, 2009) - Heavenly Greens completed a 12,000 sqft installation for the Golf Learning Center at Visitacion Valley Middle School in San Francisco. The Learning center is the first of its kind in the country and purposely built in one of San Francisco's most underserved communities to help bring golf to inner city youth as part of the First Tee Program of San Francisco.
San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, PGA tour members Nick Faldo and Paul Azinger along with PGA TOUR Commissioner, Tim Finchem among other high-profile guests were on hand to celebrate the opening of this unique one-of-a-kind facility. Nick and Paul even donated a few hours of their time to help conduct the student clinic that followed the ceremony.
Teaching inner city kids the game of golf will now be easier, thanks to a new driving range, putting green and grass chipping area all provided by Heavenly Greens.
