5 Reasons Why Dogs Love Artificial Grass

1. It feels like natural grass and looks better

OK, so we admit that your pup Charlie couldn’t care less about aesthetics. If he did, he wouldn’t ever go potty on the lawn or dig holes in it, would he? But he can sure tell how things feel underfoot. After all, he goes barefoot all year round.

He would tell you that natural grass is disappointing in this regard. It starts out OK -- nice and fluffy – but after he’s been rolling or laying down for a while, that grass is flat as a sidewalk. The only way to re-fluff it is by scratching it up with his nails, and you yell at him for doing that. What’s a dog to do?

Fake grass is never a flop, no matter how long Charlie flops on it. It’s always comfortably soft and cushy. If he or the humans in your family tamp the grass down a bit in a high-traffic area, you can use a broom to quickly re-fluff the blades.

Charlie won’t be able to dig holes in artificial grass, but who cares? The main reason he does that now is because he’s bored. With artificial grass, you’ll save so much time you’ll have hours on end for fetch, hiking, water sports and all sorts of other doggie fun.

2. It’s free from poisonous stuff

Faux grass arrives toxin-free, made with ho harmful ingredients. It stays that way, because it requires zero applications of nasty chemicals needed to protect natural grass from weeds, pests, and disease. Furthermore, it doesn’t grow, so it never produces pollen, an annoying allergen for dogs as well as people.

3. It’s cleaner than natural grass

Live grass is messy. When you mow, there are always left-behind clippings and debris that cling to fur and paws, inevitably making their way into your house. Live grass tends toward dead patches (where dear old Charlie does his thing). These lead to mud when you water or it rains, and means more in-house mess. Artificial grass remains pristine and never makes a mess that dogs have to lick off their bodies or you have to mop up indoors.

4. Artificial grass has a silly side

Even if your pooch is one of those oh-so-sophisticated breeds, we know full well there’s a silly canine under that perfectly-manicured coat. After all, he is a dog at heart! With fake grass engineered especially for dogs, your pooch can do all the romping and rolling he can stand. No play time is too loony, or too rough, for ruff-tough synthetic turf.

Dogs with creative pet parents have it even better, because they can have the personalized play area of their dreams. A fake grass rooftop for their dog house (assuming that roof is flat) provides the perfect elevated platform for surveying their universe or catching a few winks on a warm day. Grassy flooring inside gives his dog house a stylish interior that’s both comfortable and easy to clean. Here at Heavenly Greens, we’re all about pride of home ownership – for dogs as well as people.

5. And what’s the best reason of all?

Dogs love artificial grass simply because their humans love artificial grass. And every dog’s #1 goal is pleasing his owner. So that’s 4 paws up plus 2 thumbs up for artificial grass.
